<p>Every time a create a path using the pen or shape tool I cannot deselect/hide it. I do not want to delete the path because I may want to use it later but I don't want it to be visible either. </p>

<p>I figured it out. Paths can be hidden by opening the list of paths then:</p> <ul> <li>click on a blank space in the list</li> <li>clicking the escape key</li> </ul>
